 Silver Birch Betula utilis var. Jacquemontii 4-5ft

 

These are BARE ROOTED plants which can be planted from the end of October until April and will be dispatched as soon as the weather turns cold and they become dormant.The dispatch date depends on the Autumn temperature and varies from year to year.  

 

Betula Utilis - Jacquemontii is a medium-sized deciduous tree with a conical crown and clear white bark on trunk and branches. Leaves oval dark green and drooping, turning yellow in autumn. Male catkins conspicuous in early spring, to 15cm in length.

 

Betula can be deciduous trees or shrubs, usually colouring well in autumn and often with striking white, pink, or peeling brown bark; separate male and female catkins open before or with the leaves in spring

    Arrived beautifully packaged. Hard to say as bare root and dormant but I have planted it and hope soon to see signs of life. Really quick delivery and such a relief after delayed/cancelled orders by a number of other suppliers.

    The tree arrived, beautifully packed on the time and date promised. It is hard to review the tree itself as a bare root, dormant, plant, but it looks fine and I have planted it among the snow drops.

    I removed an old cherry tree that was no longer fruiting well. The new arrival is little more than a twig at present, but I am sure it will flourish into a lovely little tree in the fullness of time.

    Good value for money and a good sized tree. Have planted it in the garden and at this point I can't comment on the growth etc because it is dormant.
