3 Mixed Fruit Plants - Jostaberry, Loganberry & Aronia, Fresh Fruit From Your Garden

These are BARE ROOTED plants which can be planted from the end of October until April and will be dispatched as soon as the weather turns cold and they become dormant. The dispatch date depends on the Autumn temperature and varies from year to year.

'Jostaberry' The nearly black berry, which is smaller than a gooseberry and a bit larger than a blackcurrant, is edible both raw and cooked. It is described as having a taste intermediate between a gooseberry and a blackcurrant, with the gooseberry flavor more dominant in the unripe fruit, and the blackcurrant notes developing as the fruit ripens.

'Loganberry' is A cross between a raspberry and blackberry. The plant and the fruit resemble the blackberry more than the raspberry, but the fruit color is a dark red, rather than black as in blackberries. Loganberries are cultivated commercially and by gardeners.

'Aronis Melanocarpa' The aronia is a 'superfood', richer in antioxidants than raspberries and more modern imports such as the goji and acai.It even has three times the level of antioxidants found in blueberries. The plant is native to North America, where early settlers gave it the name 'chokeberry' because it is so sharp when eaten raw.  American Indians believed it was a good aphrodisiac.
