Product Description

1 Wild Cherry / Prunus Avium -  Plants

3-4ft Bare-Rooted

These are BARE ROOTED plants which can be planted from the end of October until April and will be dispatched as soon as the weather turns cold and they become dormant. The dispatch date depends on the Autumn temperature and varies from year to year.

Its fruit is usually ready between early June and mid June, and it may be wise to install a bird-scarer with this tree: the fruit are very popular with birds. Edible Cherries in June.

The fruit are readily eaten by numerous birds and mammals, which digest the fruit flesh and disperse the seeds in their droppings. Some rodents, and a few birds (notably the Hawfinch), also crack open the stones to eat the kernel inside.Excellent wood for furniture of burning on an open fire.

    Amazing ...

Posted by Byz on 17th Dec 2019

... but only because the poor thing was wrapped so tightly in cling film and sticky tape that I wondered if it was even alive. I think it is and it's a good height - exactly as described. After a good long soak, it is now planted out in the hope that it will be amazing again - in the Spring.
