Product Description

10 Guelder Rose / Viburnum Opulus  Plants

30-40cm Bare-Rooted

These are BARE ROOTED plants which can be planted from the end of October until April and will be dispatched as soon as the weather turns cold and they become dormant. The dispatch date depends on the Autumn temperature and varies from year to year.

Leaves are green/wine in Summer and in the Autumn glossy red berries form in clusters. Tolerates semi shade and deep soil but dosn't like dry conditions.Great for a native hedge or wood.

This hardy, vigorous shrub is ideal for a woodland garden or shrub border. It offers interest for most of the year with large, lacecap-like, white flowers from late spring to early summer, followed by bunches of small, bright red, fleshy fruit that are ideal for attractive wildlife into the garden. The plant is deciduous with attractive three-lobed, dark green foliage that turns red in autumn.

Fine bundle of stock now planted; can't wait until the Spring and to see how they add to my young hedge over the Summer and Autumn. Like Marcus this is first time I have bought this way so I hope they manage to put down roots and flourish in the Scottish climate

    Bare-rooted Guiler Rose

This is the 1st time I've bought shrubs on-line & I was pleasantly surprised. They were well packaged (& I got an extra 1 for good measure!). They have a very good root system & upon advise planted them straight away. I definitely recommend Beechwood Nurseries or The Three Fat Pigs.
