 10 Christmas Berry / Photinia fraseri 'Red Robin' 40-60cm Tall

 

Photinia, or Christmas berry, is a genus of Asian and North American shrubs, which includes a group of evergreen hybrids grown specifically for their colourful young foliage.

 

Most are forms of the garden hybrid P. x fraseri, with glossy dark green adult foliage, and variable red tinted young leaves, especially as they just unfold. 'Red Robin' is one, a choice form with eye-catching juvenile growth the colour of sealing wax, similar to a pieris. This is sometimes caught by late spring frosts, and some shelter is advisable. Plants enjoy a sunny or partially shaded position in moist but well-drained soil.

    This is the second time we have ordered via the web site from Beechwood Nurseries. The first order (different items) are all growing very nicely. Ordered 10 of each to add a bit of all year round colour to our back garden. Very good prices. All arrived very promptly and well packed. All plants look very healthy and we're looking forward to seeing them grow over the next few years.

    We received the box packaging the plants which was very well sealed the box was lined with straw which protected the plants very well and the plants were in excellent condition once removed will use Beechwood nurseries again and will also be recommending your company.     We bought the shrubs for two reasons. The size of each plant are much taller than other sellers, and the very reasonable price. Product arrived within a few days. However, there were only 9 plants in the box instead of the 10 that we expected and paid for.
