 15 Christmas Berry / Photinia fraseri 'Red Robin' 25-30cm Tall in 9cm pots

 

Photinia, or Christmas berry, is a genus of Asian and North American shrubs, which includes a group of evergreen hybrids grown specifically for their colourful young foliage.

 

Most are forms of the garden hybrid P. x fraseri, with glossy dark green adult foliage, and variable red tinted young leaves, especially as they just unfold. 'Red Robin' is one, a choice form with eye-catching juvenile growth the colour of sealing wax, similar to a pieris. This is sometimes caught by late spring frosts, and some shelter is advisable. Plants enjoy a sunny or partially shaded position in moist but well-drained soil.

    They arrived and the are in very good condition. I will be planting them this weekend. They look very healthy when they arrived I wasn't expecting them to look as good as they are. I would recommend this company to all my friends.

    Estimated delivery was spot on, Maunday Thursday, so 24 hours .... packaged nicely, just slight casualty but remedied. A drop of water and they all perked up nicely. Now in the ground and they have two chances as they say, but they look healthy. So fingers crossed.

    Package received after 5 days and given the plants had come from NI they had survived the journey well. Each plant was 30 cm's high. Just hope they now take to growth.

    Plants were all in good condition, well-packed, with pots still moist. This is already a good quality and great value purchase but two additional benefits of buying out of season are that the delivery arrived very promptly, within a couple of days, and the saplings are taller than I expected: 40cm-ish rather than 20-30cm, so they match the ones I bought and planted last summer. Would recommend these plants and this seller and intend to use again.

    Great value, super plants

    The plants arrived within a couple of days from ordering in very hot weather. They were packed well in a strong box with damp straw and had hardly lost any moisture from the pots. All the plants were healthy, one had its tip slightly damaged but as there were 16 not 15 in the box no problem. They are planted and staked as they are much taller than 30cm. Overall an excellent purchase, Thanks very much.
