20 Grey Alder / Aldus Incana Plants 30-50cm Bare-Rooted
These are BARE ROOTED plants which can be planted from the end of October until April and will be dispatched as soon as the weather turns cold and they become dormant.The dispatch date depends on the Autumn temperature and varies from year to year.
Leaves are green,hairy,pointed and 5cm across with grey below. 10cm red/yellow catkins form on the plants which also produce 2cm brown woody cones.
Grey and Italian Alder are particularly suited to wind protection for orchards
The hedge can be trimmed into any shape or size and will tolerate most conditions including shade and exposed areas.
The plants have been grown in the nursery for 2 years(1+1) and will have an excellent root system ready for planting.Plant 30-60cm(1-2 ft) apart depending on how thick you want your hedge to be.
