'Lemoinei' is a small deciduous shrub grown for their reliable display of late spring flowers.
Common Name: Mock orange 'Lemoinei'
Skill Level: Beginner
Exposure: Full sun, Partial shade
Soil type: Well-drained/light, Acidic, Chalky/alkaline
They are named "mock-orange" in reference to their flowers, which in wild species look somewhat similar to those of oranges and lemons (Citrus) at first glance, and smell of orange flowers and jasmine (Jasminum). Most are deciduous but a few species from the south of the genus' range are evergreen. The leaves are opposite, simple, with serrated margins, from 1 to 14 cm long. The flowers are white, with four petals and sepals, 1–4 cm diameter, and commonly (but not in all species) sweetly scented. The fruit is a small capsule, containing numerous small seeds.

I ordered with some are trepidation a collection of 10 "mature" shrubs.
My apprehension was because I had not completed an order with this firm previously.
The shrubs arrived on time, well packed in enough straw to feed a field full of horses. They are all in good condtion and are a excellent selection.
I am more than happy to continue to order from this firm in the foreseeable future. (may not be too rewarding a relationship for them as I am aged 85 and a bit doddery!!
