These are BARE ROOTED plants which can be planted from the end of October until April and will be dispatched as soon as the weather turns cold and they become dormant.The dispatch date depends on the Autumn temperature and varies from year to year.
Leaves are green in Summer and in the Autumn 4 lobed dark red fruits with orange seeds appear.Max height & spread 10ft/3m.Grow in any fertile soil especially chalk.Great for a native hedge or wood.
Also known as 'Spindle' or 'Spindleberry' (as the wood was used to make these essential items) this shrub brightens up the hedgerows in the countryside around me in SE UK in the autumn with its shocking pink berries that split to reveal the bright orange seeds inside.
