Buddleia davidii 'White Profusion' in 2L Pot

 

'White Profusion' is a vigorous large deciduous shrub with arching branches and narrow leaves, whitish beneath. Flowers scented, white with yellow eye, in long panicles.

 

Buddleja can be evergreen or deciduous shrubs, occasionally trees or scrambling climbers with simple leaves and panicles of small, tubular fragrant flowers.Flowers scented, striking white, in elongated panicles at tips of current year's growth.

    Am very pleased with this. The website gave a detailed description - I was looking for a shrub to attract butterflies and bees. Delivery was really quick and the pot contains a healthy plant. Am looking forward to the flowers!

    This needed just a dash of water and after a day or so letting it acclimatize, I planted it out and so far, it's looking great. Recommended.

    I planted out my White Profusion on 3 April at 14" tall. (I wanted to train it into a tree as I don't have much space so I removed the lower branches at the time.) 3 months later, it is now 7 feet tall with a huge, fat, fragrant panicle at the top and more forming. It has given me 3 months of pleasure, watching it grow day by day. I'm a complete beginner and wish I had room for another. Hmmm. Thank you very much for this wonderful shrub.
