Cambridge Gage Plum Tree 4-5ft, in a 6L Pot, Self-Fertile,Green Gage
Product Description
4-5ft / 120-150cm in a 6L Pot
Gages are superior dessert plums, much sweeter with a rich honeyed flavour when grown in a warm sunny spot.
Partially self fertile but crops at its best with the pollinators: Victoria, Czar or Opal. 'Cambridge Gage' is a popular variety, similar to the traditional 'Old Green Gage', with a very fine flavour.
Single, cup-shaped white flowers appear in late spring, followed by yellow-green fruit with a superb, juicy flavour, which are ready for picking in early September.
As with all trees from the prunus family, the leaves will start to appear autumnal and slightly shabby with holes, from mid-June onwards. This is not a disease, it is just a growth cycle with this type of tree.
Pollination:
It is partially self-fertile.
For better fruiting plant a compatible partner:
Czar, Merryweather, Mirabelle de Nancy, Opal, Oullins Golden Gage, Victoria
