Compact Strawberry Tree  / Arbutus Unedo Compacta In 2L Pot, Tasty Fruit

  

A small, evergreen tree with Lily-of-the-valley type flowers, followed by attractive, vaguely strawberry-like, edible fruits.

 

One of the few members of the erica family that is tolerant of chalk. The Strawberry tree produces white flowers in late autumn. Since the fruits take 12 months to ripen, the tree bears both mature fruits and flowers at the same time, making it incredibly beautiful. This is an excellent tree for coastal gardens or a sheltered spot inland.

    Bought this tree as a present for my mam so was pleasantly surprised at how quickly it arrived. Great value for money and a beautiful, healthy little tree which has put on a lot of new growth over the past week. Bought a lilac for her last year from this company which she was delighted with.
