Product Description

Cornus Mas / Cornelian Cherry, In 2L Pot

 

C. mas is a deciduous shrub with oval leaves turning purple in autumn; small clusters of tiny, bright yellow flowers open in late winter, to be followed by glossy red, cherry-like fruits.

 

Cornus can be deciduous shrubs or trees, or creeping, woody-based perennials, some with brightly coloured young stems. Tiny flowers are borne in dense clusters, sometimes with showy bracts. Many have fine autumn colour.

    Quick delivery and well packaged, plant looks healthy and have transplanted into a big pot to acclimatize to our conditions before selecting final position. I would recommend this company.

    Speedy delivery, excellent packaging ( best one ever seen with small tree wrapped up in straw and secured in the cardboard box so that it could not be damaged). Arrived in tip top condition and a (very courteous) driver delivered it right way up ! ( sounds daft but is not always the case !) Have already recommended your firm and will order further next year as needed., (my garden is little though!!) My mum years ago used to make excellent jam and jelly from Cornus Mas cherries and I am looking to do the same once my little tree produces cherries. Clean and tart taste, almost like a sour (Morello) cherry or perhaps similar a black mulberry. So good ! Thank you so much to all the team.
