A reliable self fertile plum tree.It is the most recommended tree to use in less than ideals environments as it is frost resistant.Growth is upright. Czar plums are naturally excellent for making jams and preserves; by using a little less sugar, you can create a really intense jam. Czar is fully self-fertile and crops reliably, aided by its comparatively hardy nature, in the face of frost.As with all trees from the prunus family, the leaves will start to appear autumnal and slightly shabby from mid June onwards. This is not a disease, but is mainly due to this years contrasting weather conditions and will not affect the performance of the tree.
