Dicksonia Antarctica, Soft Tree Fern in a 9cm Pot, Evergreen
Product Description
Dicksonia Antarctica, Soft Tree Fern in a 9cm Pot, Evergreen
Dicksonia, or tree ferns, are growing in popularity. They are among the oldest plants in the world, native to Australia and New Zealand, and they look striking in the garden.
Dicksonia antarctica is a tree fern that is more resilient. Large, long fronds that resemble filigrees emerge from the trunk formed by its dense mass of roots. The maximum length of these fronds is three meters. Tree ferns provide a dramatic addition to an exotic planting scheme particularly when paired with other woodland plants. Due of its slow growth, it may take them up to 20 years to reach their full 4 m height.
Dicksonia antarctica grows best in moist soil in moderate to full shade. It can survive at -5°C.
