Product Description
Dwarf Patio Medlar 'Nottingham' / Mespilus germanica 'Nottingham'
Self-fertile
These are BARE ROOTED plants which can be planted from October until April and will be dispatched as soon as the weather turns cold and they become dormant. The dispatch date depends on the Autumn temperature and varies from year to year.
Notable for the strange look to its fruit, Medlar Nottingham is the only variety still available commercially. This is due its well sized fruit and reliable year on year cropping.
Nottingham Medlars will grow well in any well drained soil and will fruit best in full sun. They are hardy but the flowers can be damaged by strong, dry winds and we recommend choosing a sheltered location
