These are BARE ROOTED plants which can be planted from the end of October until April and will be dispatched as soon as the weather turns cold and they become dormant. The dispatch date depends on the Autumn temperature and varies from year to year.
One of the easiest and most productive cooking apples to grow. The fruits are green, flattish and distinctly ribbed. Cooks into a good sharp puree. The tree is compact and low in vigour, suiting smaller gardens.
Grenadier is self-fertile. It will therefore produce some fruit if planted by itself, but will yield more in the company of a pollinating partner.Grenadier is also quite an easy apple tree to grow in the garden, being reliable, resistant to the common apple diseases, and not likely to grow as vigorously as a Bramley.
Pollination:
It is partially self-fertile.
