Product Description
Jasmine / Jasmine Stephanense
in 9cm Pot, Fragrant Pink Flowers
The deciduous climbing vine Jasminum Stephanense (Jasminium × stephanense) is also known as Pink Summer Jasmin or Stephen Jasmine. It uses twining stems to climb almost any surface, including walls, fences, posts, pergolas, and trees. Additionally, the vine thrives in a pot or container where it can hang or climb.
A profusion of delicate pink trumpet blooms bloom throughout the spring and summer.
The scent of the blooms gets stronger when the vine is placed in full sun or partial shade and the weather is warm. Additionally, it is usually stronger in the morning and evening.
Jasminum Stephanense grows rapidly, reaching a height of 15 meters and a width of 1.5 meters. In fewer than ten years, it will typically reach its maximum growth potential. Because of its weight, it needs a sturdy support structure. It can be trimmed all the way to the ground to revitalize the plant and promote additional bloom production, or it can be pruned to manage growth. Pruning is not necessary, though, unless you want to get rid of old, dead shoots.
Its ease of care and hardiness makes this a must have vine for any cottage garden, woodland landscape, or formal garden.
