The most reliable fig for the UK climate which, from late August to mid-September, produces a heavy crop of purple-brown fruits with sweet red flesh.
 
 
Figs are native trees of Syria and Persia, and have been grown in Britain since Roman times. Only a few varieties are hardy enough for outdoor cultivation on warm walls, where they survive most winters unscathed - very hard prolonged frosts may kill all the top growth, but plants revive from below ground.

    Always wanted a fig tree and now that I have the garden for it, I had to buy one. I had already bought a lemon tree from Beechwood Nurseries, which is doing well and bursting with new growth, so I purchased my fig tree from them too. It arrived in great condition due to great packing. A sturdy plant with healthy foliage and roots, I potted it on straight away. I look forward to eating fresh figs for breakfast someday soon. Thanks.

    I have been hugely impressed by the quality of the trees and plants that I have purchased. They are extremely good value and are of the best quality that I have seen in a long time. I have already recommended Beechwood trees to my friends and really can not praise them highly enough.

    Purchased 2 fig trees for a relative and was impressed by the speed of delivery and quality of the product. They are very good value compared to ones priced in garden centres
