Probably one of the most well-known magnolias; large, goblet-shaped, pure white flowers that are blushed purple-pink at the base arrive in midspring, along with large, dark green foliage. Despite being somewhat of a small tree when fully grown, this magnolia maintains its shape for many years, making it a great choice for modest gardens.
Grow in moist, well-drained preferably neutral to acid soil in sun or part shade. Tolerates dry, alkaline soil.
