Sorbus Torminalis / Wild Service Tree 20-30cm Tall, Wildlife Friendly

These are BARE ROOTED plants which can be planted from the end of October until April and will be dispatched as soon as the weather turns cold and they become dormant. The dispatch date depends on the Autumn temperature and varies from year to year.

S. torminalis is a spreading deciduous tree to 25m, the leaves are triangluar, lobed, green leaves that turn reddish-brown in autumn, and cream flowers in early summer, followed by small brown fruits.

Sorbus thrives on most fertile soils, being suited to chalk as well as heavier clay soils. Fully hardy and capable of growing under semi shade - Sorbus is a good all rounder. Prune out dead / diseased wood in summer.
