Product Description
Symphyotrichum 'Little Carlow', Aster Cordifolius , Pretty Lilac Blooms,Supplied in a 9cm pot
Asters belong to the daisy family and are sometimes called Michaelmas daisies because, although some bloom in the spring, the majority do so in the late summer and autumn. Large clusters of pale purple blooms with a bright yellow core are produced by Symphyotrichum 'Little Carlow'. When other flowers are beginning to fade, it adds a welcome pop of colour and is perfect for growing in the centre of herbaceous borders. For insects that fly late, it is also a significant source of pollen and nectar.
Symphyotrichum 'Little Carlow' should be planted in well-drained soil in a protected, somewhat shaded area for optimal results. After flowering, give plants a severe cutback.
