Cercis Canadensis Eastern Redbud Tree in 9cm Pot, Pink Blossom

 

Cercis canadensis is a small deciduous tree with a gorgeous heart-shaped leaves that turn from green to purple and yellow, pea-like flowers that appear before the foliage emerges.

Cercis are deciduous shrubs or small trees with heart-shaped leaves and clusters of bright pink pea-flowers opening before or with the leaves, followed by flattened, deep purple pods. Easily grown in average, medium moisture, well-drained soils in full sun to part shade. Performs best in moderately fertile soils with regular and consistent moisture. Avoid wet or poorly drained soils.

    I was extremely pleased with the packaging of the two plants I ordered, safely boxed surrounded by straw. Both plants were exactly as described, I have re-potted them into larger pots and both are thriving. I ordered before I read reviews so I was a tad dubious about what I would receive, but I would have no hesitation ordering from here again.
