Product Description

Red Devil Apple Tree 4-5ft,Self-Fertile, Sweet Strawberry Taste

These are BARE ROOTED plants which can be planted from the end of October until April and will be dispatched as soon as the weather turns cold and they become dormant. The dispatch date depends on the Autumn temperature and varies from year to year.

An excellent self-fertile variety producing the most attractive deep scarlet-skinned apples with red stained flesh. This has a delicious strawberry-like flavour. Striking pink blossom and a neat, slender habit make this a good ornamental tree for the smaller garden.

Red Devil has an unusual feature in that the red skin bleeds slightly into the flesh, producing an interesting staining effect in the flesh just below the skin.

The flavour is fairly well balanced between sweet and sharp, and there is a sometimes a slight strawberry element to it. Red Devil produces a very attractive pink juice, and this alone is a good reason for growing it.

Pollination:

It is self-fertile and does not need a pollination partner.
For better fruiting plant a compatible partner:

Braeburn, Charles Ross, Cornish Aromatic, Egremont Russet, Elstar, Fiesta, Gala, Golden Delicious, Granny Smith, Greensleeves, Grenadier, Howgate Wonder, Idared Irish Peach, James Grieve, Katy, Laxton's Superb, Lord Lambourne, Malus Evereste, Malus John Downie, Pitmaston Pine Apple, Reverend W. Wilks, Spartan
