Picea Glauca Rainbow's End, Dwarf White Spruce, Potted
Product Description
Picea Glauca Rainbow's End, Dwarf White Spruce
Supplied in a 9cm pot
"Rainbow's End" is a cultivar name, and its species is a White Spruce (Picea glauca). It is called a "white spruce" because of the natural waxy, whitish coating on the needles of the parent species, and "Rainbow's End" due to the bright, colourful flushes of new growth that resemble a pop of colour at the end of the branches.
Picea glauca 'Rainbow's End' is a dwarf evergreen conifer, a mutation of the popular dwarf Alberta spruce. It is prized for its bright creamy-yellow new growth, which appears not only in spring but often again in midsummer, creating a striking "two-season" display.
