'Duke' Blueberry / Vaccinium cor. 'Duke' in 9cm Pot, Tasty Edible Fruit

 

'Duke' is a bushy upright deciduous shrub to 2m tall, with small oval leaves turning red and yellow in autumn, and cylindrical creamy-white flowers followed by blue-bloomed, edible fruits ripening in mid to late summer.

 

Blueberries are North American fruits, gaining in popularity in gardens, especially those on acid soils. Elsewhere the bushes must be grown in large containers of ericaceous, lime-free, compost. They are decorative plants, especially in autumn, and may be grown in shrub borders. The secret of success is lavish annual feeding, with plenty of water, preferably rainwater, in summer.

    I ordered three of the blueberry plants because the price was so good. They came very well and cleverly packaged in great condition. I have planted them out immediately in acidic soil and a week later I noticed some healthy green buds appearing already. Absolutely over the moon. I would highly recommend Beechwoodtrees and will certainly purchase more plants from them! 5 star +

    I ordered three of these and I am not disappointed. The three plants arrived well-packaged in excellent condition and super healthy looking. After just 10 days they have already started sprouting little leaves. It is everything I wished for and I will happily buy from this company again. Highly recommend!
