Kniphofia Rooperi in 1.5-2L Pot, Red Orange Flower
*Kniphofia rooperi*, commonly known as Rooper’s Red Hot Poker, is a late-season perennial noted for its robust architecture and vibrant, late-blooming inflorescence. Distinguished from other species by its rounded, egg-shaped flower heads in shades of orange and yellow, this plant provides a striking visual focal point as the growing season concludes. Its bold, arching, evergreen foliage and substantial stems make it an ideal choice for adding structural interest to a landscape.
Originating from South Africa, this sun-loving perennial is highly valued for its ability to provide vivid colour throughout the autumn months, typically peaking between September and October. It serves as a vital late-season nectar source for bees and various pollinators.
*Kniphofia rooperi* is classified as RHS H5, indicating it is fully hardy throughout most of the United Kingdom and capable of withstanding temperatures as low as -15°C once established. It is a resilient and reliable cultivar that thrives in free-draining soil and demonstrates greater tolerance for summer moisture than many other *Kniphofia* species.
