The most reliable fig for the UK climate which, from late August to mid-September, produces a heavy crop of purple-brown fruits with sweet red flesh.
 
 
Figs are native trees of Syria and Persia, and have been grown in Britain since Roman times. Only a few varieties are hardy enough for outdoor cultivation on warm walls, where they survive most winters unscathed - very hard prolonged frosts may kill all the top growth, but plants revive from below ground.

    This Brown Turkey Fig tree, nicely packaged with no damage. I have purchased a large Terracotta pot to plant it in, thought a Mediterranean look would go well once the fig tree is established. I shall definitely be recommending this company for speed of service and and well packaged plants.

    Order arrived, and well packaged I must say. Loved the straw enclosure surrounding the stem and pot which I have added to my the compost heap, as was the cardboard box. Looking forward to seeing how this grows through the year, from other reviews it seems a good buy from the company. Time will tell, and as I am a positive person,I am looking forward to trying the fruits from it.

    It arrived very quickly, and we'll packed, and as stated, a few purple Figs are on there way :o) Two days after it arrived a few leaves fell off, and some turned a little brown however, new shoots are on there way, so hopefully it will be okay. I am very happy with the tree.
