These are BARE ROOTED plants which can be planted from the end of October until April and will be dispatched as soon as the weather turns cold and they become dormant.The dispatch date depends on the Autumn temperature and varies from year to year.


Japanese Larch (Larix kaempferi; Karamatsu in Japanese) is a species of larch native to Japan.Excellent for a sheltering windbreak if planted 1m apart.

It is a medium-sized to large deciduous coniferous tree reaching 20-40 m tall, with a trunk up to 1 m diameter. The crown is broad conic; both the main branches and the side branches are level, the side branches only rarely drooping. The shoots are dimorphic, with growth divided into long shoots (typically 10-50 cm long) and bearing several buds, and short shoots only 1-2 mm long with only a single bud.

    Cant fault the plants or service - they came in a well wrapped up paper and polyethene bag and had a great root system. As per instructions I've planted in some sandy soil till I can get them planted in their final position.

    I'd definitely use this company again - I'm only constrained by the size of my small garden.
