In July the tree is studded with dark red berries which become purple-black as they ripen. The Royal Horticultural Society has given it the Award of Garden Merit. It makes a fantastic colourful hedge.

Planted up they will hopefully grow well as part of a 350 meter hedgerow ,they look healthy and apparently produce lots of white flowers lets hope it doesn't snow at the same time.

The shrubs arrived looking healthy, they were well packed with no damage on arrival. I planted them several weeks ago in late autumn and they are already showing signs of developing buds, so I am very pleased and look forward to seeing how they grow over the spring and summer months. I would not hesitate to use Beechwood Nurseries again, as there is a great choice at good prices and the ordering process is easy.
