Product Description

Big Juicy Victoria Plum Tree 4-5ft Tall, Ready to Fruit,Self Fertile & Juicy

These are BARE ROOTED plants which can be planted from the end of October until April and will be dispatched as soon as the weather turns cold and they become dormant. The dispatch date depends on the Autumn temperature and varies from year to year.

One of the most well known and popular of plum trees, Victoria produces pale red fruit.

Victoria is a versatile plum tree, producing fruit which can be eaten, used for cooking and for jams.It produces a heavy crop which often needs to be thinned if fruits are to be produced each year. Left to its own devices the sheer weight of fruit may well break the branches of the tree.Harvest between Mid-August to late September. If you are growing only one fruit tree, then this is the one to plant. It is self fertile and will pollinate with any other variety of plum.

As with all trees from the prunus family, the leaves will start to appear autumnal and slightly shabby with holes from mid June on wards. This is not a disease nor caused by insects, but is mainly due to this years contrasting weather conditions and will not affect the performance of the tree.

Trees are grown on St Julien A rootstock which will grow to 10-12ft max.

Pollination:

It is self-fertile and will produce fruit by itself.

For better fruiting plant a compatible partner:

Cambridge Gage, Czar, Merryweather, Mirabelle de Nancy, Opal, Oullins Golden Gage

    Plum tree

Too soon to review having just received and planted. Delivery was on time and tree was packed well for transport but difficult to unpack. Brown package tape difficult to remove without doing damage to tree.

    good value

The tree looks healthy and is more than 4 ft tall. Next year will tell how well it fruits. The size of the roots indicate that it is a mature specimen.

Looking forward to those lovely plums

We were looking to plant a plum tree in our garden, as we had a Victoria plum tree at our old house. We look around and choose Beechwood trees for our tree. It came very quickly, well packed. All in all a very nice looking strong tree. I have plant it in a sunny place, and are looking with interest how it will develop, I am sure i.t will give us lots of fruit in the coming years.
